Aims The lecture Quality Management is intended to teach students of the Master's program the basic terms and methods of quality management established in the manufacturing industry. In addition, the fundamentals of industrial measurement technology and current developments in the field of data acquisition and further processing are taught. Finally, an outlook on new possibilities of (preventive) quality assurance including process data will be given.

  • Advance quality planning and instruments (APQP, QFD, FMEA, 8D, …)
  • Machine and process capability, statistical process control
  • Operational quality assurance in manufacturing and assembly
  • Software for operational quality assurance
  • Measuring and testing equipment, digital metrology, measuring accuracy, precision
  • Acquisition of process and workpiece data, pre- and post-processing – current developments and possibilities
  • Quality monitoring and prediction by process data monitoring and machine learning
  • Systematic problem solving
  • Continuous improvement
  • Audits as an instrument for systematic improvement of Q management
