SynErgie | Synchronised and energy-adaptive production technology for the flexible alignment of industrial processes to fluctuating energy supply”

Due to the ever-increasing share of fluctuating feed-in power generators, an efficient balance between energy supply and demand is required. Energy-intensive industrial processes that are optimally adapted to the future energy system with a higher proportion of fluctuating power generation must therefore be designed according to different principles than was previously customary. To this end, technologies adapted to the energy system of the future are important for key industrial processes. SynErgie is an interdisciplinary consortium with broad participation of energy-intensive industry. Under the leadership of the TU Darmstadt and the University of Stuttgart, more than 80 cooperation partners from science, industry and civil society are working together to integrate energy-intensive industrial processes into the future energy system.
