Research focus on Data science and AI applications in manufacturing

Since the summer semester 2024, Mr. Gräff has been in charge of the tutorial: MACH40 – Application of Data Analytics in Machining Production.The aim is the relaying and application of modern methods from the field of Data Science for theevaluation of internal data of a machine tool. The application cases are the detection of process deviations and the prediction of workpiece quality. As basis for this, the requirements for automation and networking of machine tools in the context of machine tools within the framework of Industry 4.0 are addressed. For a deeper understanding of the process domain knowledge from the area of maching is also addressed.
