On February 1st, 2023, the European project LeaDTchain, funded by EIT-Manufacturing, started. The LeaDTchain project (long version: Learning about implementing and using a Digital Process Twin in a production value chain) addresses human-, technology- and organizational-based challenges to support stakeholders in the practical execution of digital twins. Thereby, upcoming problems in production can be identified with data analytics, what-if scenarios, performance forecasts as well as process live monitoring, which enables the possibility to take suitable measures proactively in order to avoid negative impact on process performance in advance. Ideko and Soraluce from Spain and InTechCentras from Lithuania are part of the project consortium. We thank our partners for their attendance at the kick-off meeting in Darmstadt and are looking forward to a successful collaboration during the project.
