Research focus on Cyber-Physical Systems in Climate Neutral Production

  • Analysis, key figure description and marketing of energy flexibility through data models
  • Operational optimization of cyber-physical production and supply systems
  • CO2 footprint prediction for greenhouse gas optimal selection of raw materials and manufacturing processes

Since the winter semester 2024/2025, Mr. Gölz has been leading the tutorial Simulation of Supply Systems in Production.

This tutorial provides an introduction to dynamic simulation and possible areas of application in an industrial context with energy relevance. For this purpose, an overview of suitable simulation environments and modeling approaches as well as relevant basics on industrial supply systems is provided. The focus is on the Modelica language and the simulation environment Dymola from Dassault Systèmes. Here, students can learn about the development of object-oriented model/simulation libraries and advanced simulation techniques (FMI model export, co-simulation, coupling with mathematical optimization). Finally, the simulation tools are applied to concrete case studies from production.
